Colorado-Made Windows?

Are Colorado-Made Windows More Durable?

NO.

Some Colorado Springs window companies will try to tell you that your windows need to be made in Colorado to be durable in this climate.

They claim that only windows made here can hold up in our extreme temperatures and high altitudes. While that might sound like it could be true, it’s not.

The plain fact is that windows do not need to be made in Colorado to be built well enough to stand up to our climate and altitude.

For example, our manufacturer Soft-Lite has been around since 1934, manufacturing American-made windows in Streetsboro, Ohio. The windows they make have been proven to be durable in any climate in the United States, including Colorado.

Now, it is true that there are windows that will not be durable in high-altitude conditions. But the reason a window fails is not about where it’s made. It’s about the materials and the quality standards of the manufacturer.

The #1 thing to avoid are windows made from recycled vinyl, because that cheap kind of vinyl will not withstand the Colorado Springs climate.

Our windows are made from a pure 100% virgin vinyl and that has been proven to be an excellent choice for Colorado homes. In fact, we’re so confident that we stand behind our windows with the best warranty you can possibly get. (Go here to visit our warranty page to discover more.)

So, remember, if someone tries to tell you that replacement windows for your home need to be manufactured in Colorado, that’s a myth!
